Hare - Steel Garden Art Sculpture

Inspired by 1000's of years of Folklore and tales, it's a pleasure to introduce our new Hare Artwork. Crafted from 3mm thick British Steel and standing at 40cm tall, he will make a big statement in your garden for a very long time. 

Across every continent, hares have been featured in stories and have been seen as Messengers, Tricksters, Witches and Heroes.

Pulling inspiration from these ancient stories, I decided to create this hare artwork, to keep passing on these tales.

In England, Boudica released a hare from her dress before battle and its path was read as an omen for her victory Native Americans spoke of Michabo, the great hare who commanded the summer to defeat the winter. In India, they have a story of a Hare who tricked a lion into fighting his own reflection.

Hare numbers in the UK have declined 80% since the late 19th century. They are the only game species without a closed hunting season which often leads to them being shot during breeding time. Not only this, but we’ve lost 150,000 miles of hedgerow and 95% of hay meadows. We need to do more to help, so I pledge that for every sale of the Hare sculpture from my website, I will donate 10% of the sale to the Hare preservation trust as well as planting a tree for every order placed.
